We are looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to join a dedicated team that provides high-quality, interactive online coding courses for K-12 students to help them develop essential skills in computer science, mathematics, and critical thinking.
As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of web applications, from conception to deployment. Working closely with a team of talented engineers, designers, and product managers, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions that meet users’ needs.

What You’ll Do

    • Development & Implementation: Design, develop, and implement highly responsive user interface components using modern React best practices. Write robust, efficient, and maintainable backend code using Node.js and typescript.
    • Cross-functional collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are feasible and to identify and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
    • Code Optimization: Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
    • Quality Assurance: Implement thorough testing frameworks and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality code.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development. Proactively suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and technologies.
    • Use your expertise in the full software development lifecycle to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions.

What You Need

    • A passion for functional programming and writing clean, well-organized, and maintainable code.
    • Very strong React and Typescript skills.
    • Familiarity with building applications with MongoDB using Mongoose and Prisma.
    • Knowledge of Node.js frameworks (e.g., Express, Fastify).
    • Experience working with Large Language Model APIs such as Claude and Chat GPT, including prompt engineering.
    • Experience with AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, terraform, and docker.
    • Experience working with Clerk for user authentication.
    • Experience using Stripe APIs for payments.
    • Experience working in a startup environment.

Salary & Benefits

    • Competitive salary.
    • This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
    • The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with TLNT.
    • Work from home.
    • Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm (+/- 2 hour accepted) – PST.
